| THE VILLAGE GREEN CEILIDH BAND | Members of Piping Hot have joined the Village Green Ceilidh Band at the Playford Ball at the Cockermouth Georgian Fair. They are very versatile with top-class musicians and an experienced caller: we recommend them unreservedly if you're looking for music for dancing. | ||||||
| THE KIRKGATE CENTRE | Cockermouth's Kirkgate Centre, the place to go for music, drama, art and cinema, and completely run by a band of dedicated volunteers. | ||||||
| COCKERMOUTH GEORGIAN FAIR | Cockermouth's Georgian Fair. Started in 2005, this event will be held biennially from 2006, to celebrate Cockermouth's position as a Georgian gem town and the birthplace of William Wordsworth. Most of the local musical groups have been involved in one way or the other: Piping Hot worked very hard in the first Fair and expect to be an important part of this event in the future. | ||||||
