Cumbrian women do many things. Here we do morris dancing. Based in Cockermouth, Belfagan dance north west morris for your pleasure. And just to make things interesting, you'll find our Ally playing sax, and our Bridget playing accordion in their band.

Members of Piping Hot have joined the Village Green Ceilidh Band at the Playford Ball at the Cockermouth Georgian Fair. They are very versatile with top-class musicians and an experienced caller: we recommend them unreservedly if you're looking for music for dancing.

Cockermouth's Kirkgate Centre, the place to go for music, drama, art and cinema, and completely run by a band of dedicated volunteers.

Cockermouth's Georgian Fair. Started in 2005, this event has been held biennially since 2006, to celebrate Cockermouth's position as a Georgian gem town and the birthplace of William Wordsworth. Most of the local musical groups have been involved in one way or the other: Piping Hot worked very hard in the first two Fair and expect to be an important part of this event in the future.

Edinburgh's leading a capella group who joined us on the Kirkgate stage in October 2006 for a memorable concert. Under the new leadership of Oliver Singleton they have become even more adventurous and are now a force to be reckoned with.
