As musicians ourselves, we love designing sites for other people involved with music or dance.

Based in the village of Crosby, near Maryport, NW Cumbria, Steve Marshall and Ally McGurk are fully qualified and experienced specialists in the servicing and repair of woodwind and brass instruments. There's useful advice about buying second hand and maintaining the instruments you have, as well as instruments for sale.

Marshall McGurk also offer a music printing and transposition service, as well as lessons in recorder and beginner's guitar.

Belfagan have been dancing North West style morris around the Cockermouth area and beyond, since 1981. If you thought morris dancing was just for men with beards, think again! All the dance tunes are available for download, and if you want to know why they have a sheep for a logo, you must visit to find out!

If you want a great night, why not book the Village Green Ceilidh Band to play for your guests? They are based at Greysouthen, near Cockermouth, Cumbria, and can be booked for your 'do', complete with experienced caller, so it doesn't matter if you've never danced before.

Piping Hot Recorders are an all-female recorder consort with around 8 musicians, playing everything from the tiny garklein recorder down to the great bass. They play music from all eras - from the baroque to jazz. They are also available to do Tudor Dance Workshops in local primary schools. There's a lot more to recorder music than that squeaky plastic thing you tried to play when you were 7!
