KRAFT PAPER RUSH/ CHAIRCORD

One of the easiest materials to use for seat weaving, paper rush looks very like real, natural rush and comes in a variety of colours. A light spray of water makes it easier to work with, especially where there are tight bends over chair rails. Once finished, you can stain it with water-based woodstain, or give it a couple of protective coats of water-based varnish (diluted 50:50) to prevent it from absorbing stains. Our instruction books explain the procedure with detailed illustrations.

GOOD NEWS! We've found a new supplier for paper rush, though at the moment it only comes in one colour. Hopefully there will be more in the near future. It's about 5mm thick and has a slightly different feel from our previous paper rush, so if you'd like a sample, please ask.

NEW COLOUR - BRACKEN

The colour of this new paper rush reminds me of the colour of bracken on the hillsides in autumn and winter. A lovely rich warm shade.
