GOLF TEES for CHAIR CANING
Plastic or nylon golf tees make superb temporary pegs for chair caning work. The best ones
are tapered, so that as the hole fills up with strips of cane, the peg will still fit. Plastic is a
little more brittle than nylon, so if you're doing a number of chairs it's worth paying a little
extra for the nylon ones.
50 TAPERED NYLON TEES
These are the best tees for caning. Nylon is less prone to breaking than plastic, so if you're
planning to do several chairs, it's worthwhile buying a pack of these, as they'll last

PLASTIC CHAIR CANE
With the price of natural cane going up, it makes sense to look for something a bit more
affordable for recaning ordinary chairs. This plastic cane might just be what you're looking
It only comes in 2.5mm (equivalent to No.3 natural cane) but it's very like the real thing,
slightly domed on one side and flat on the other. It's in 500g coils, but I may be persuaded to
split it up into smaller quantities if you ask nicely. If anything it's a bit lighter, and yellower,
than the usual stuff, but it's easy to handle and looks good when woven.
